- I wonder what their scientists would think and feel knowing they grew up around a dead star. Or would they even realize it? There would have to be questions about why the other stars are much hotter and are more active than theirs.

- Not quite. It's not a near miss as the asteroid became a meteor and exploded in the atmosphere. There's talk of finding an impact crater but these are unsubstantiated.

- We're so far away from being able to terraform it doesn't matter. Yes it's always beneficial to have the discussion but aside from worrying about where our space junk lands this is much ado about nothing atm.

- Never mind, I think I'm seeing my mistake. I'm thinking of the universe as a constant and equally distant all around from my position. Its expanding faster and faster so distance is not necessarily equal to time, as I know it.
